Outstanding ASCE Advocates to Be Honored at Fly-In

2015

Individual: Darren Benoit, New Hampshire

Group: Louisiana Section

The Outstanding Civil Engineer Advocate of the Year is given to both an individual ASCE member and also to an ASCE team (e.g. Section, Branch, Younger Member Group) to recognize efforts made while engaging with members of the U.S. Congress and state legislators on ASCE’s Priority Issues.

Many ASCE Key Contacts are actively building relationships with and educating their members of Congress on issues important to the civil engineering profession and the public we serve. Because many of our initiatives depend on action by the U.S. Congress and state legislatures, we want to recognize these efforts of outstanding ASCE advocates and teams who consistently promote ASCE issues to their elected officials.

2015 is the inaugural year for the award. The winners will be recognized at the annual ASCE Legislative Fly-In, in Washington, DC, March 24-26.

Congratulations to our winners!
