Field Services Engineer

Modjeski and Masters, Inc. a employee owned bridge engineering and inspection firm is looking to hire a Field Services Engineer in our New Orleans office with 4+ years experience.

Education and License Requirements:

  • A minimum of a BS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
  • A licensed Professional Civil Engineer preferred
  • Must be able to pass a security background check

Training:

  • Company will provide NBIS Bridge Safety Inspection and other job skill related training

General Responsibilities/Essential Functions of the Job may include:

  • Perform bridge and construction engineering and inspection work
  • Prepare inspection and repair plans/reports

Skills and Abilities:

  • Physically capable of climbing ladders and stairways, working on narrow walkways and platforms at high elevations, such as bridge superstructures during inspections, and working from snoopers, manlifts and other access means
  • Have good command of the English language with good oral and written communication skills

Working Conditions:

  • Considerable amount of travel and overnight stays are required for most bridge inspection
  • Position involves being exposed to severe weather conditions
