Project Engineer

Cardno ATC is seeking a full time Project Engineer for our Lafayette, LA office.

General Responsibilities/Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Performance as the Construction Quality Assurance Manager on large scale Roadway Transportation projects
  • Technical Oversight and Review
  • Interpretation of the LA DOTD’s requirements for large scale Roadway Transportation Projects
  • Carry out the duties specified in the LA DOTD Quality Assurance Manual
  • Direct on-site personnel for QA testing and Inspection
  • Able to perform Field Engineering work on a full-time basis
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage client interactions

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Must be a Louisiana-licensed Professional Engineer with a minimum of ten years of progressive experience in roadway and bridge construction with at least seven years of experience in construction Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) activities (including management of construction quality programs) on roadway and bridge construction projects that are similar in scope and complexity as this Project
  • The Construction Quality Acceptance Manager must have demonstrated experience in materials management, construction inspection, interpretation of specifications, and sampling/testing procedures
